Storeperson

We are looking for a reliable, friendly person with attention to detail to join our Inwards Goods / Store Team on a full-time basis.

This role is a physical, hands-on role in a busy area of the business. Accuracy, attention to detail, planning & organisation and communication are all essential skills for this role.

You will be working with a committed and motivated team who prides themselves on the quality produce and service we offer our customers here at New World.

Your main duties will include:

Unloading and receipting in all deliveries into the storeroom.

Unpacking deliveries for retail staff to put into the shop.
Moving and arranging stock within the storeroom to meet the needs of the business.
Housekeeping
What you’ll need:

Hold a current forklift license, and be confident and capable of using this safely in a busy environment.

Clear communicator
Be flexible – deliveries aren’t always on time!
Have exceptional driving skills
Accurate handling and computer processing of all incoming stock
Work efficiently and effectively
Be physically fit - the role involves, standing / lifting / twisting / forklift use
Be disciplined in your approach to Food Safety
Be disciplined in your approach to Health & Safety
Take pride in your productivity, and the contribution you make to the team
Know how important the customer is, and what a privilege it is to have them choose to shop with us
