Calling all college students! Are you passionate about life on the water and love connecting with people? As an Event Co-Ordinator with Boating Ontario, you’ll be the friendly face and voice of our brand, inspiring others to explore the world of recreational boating. Whether you’re engaging with boating enthusiasts at marinas, town docks or community events, you'll play a key role in spreading the joy of boating. Build excitement, share experiences, and help make boating more accessible, welcoming, and fun for everyone — all while working in some of the most scenic spots in Ontario.

Why You'll Love This Job:

Build Your Skills: Gain real-world experience in marketing, events, and customer engagement — perfect for students, recent grads, or anyone looking to grow.
Seasonal Position: Embrace the summer vibes from June to August, working with an energetic and passionate team.
Social Media Engagement: Use your charm and social media savvy to promote our events and engage with attendees, making every interaction memorable.
Vibrant Outdoor Settings: Travel throughout Ontario to picturesque locations like town docks and Canada's historic canals on the Trent-Severn and Rideau, as well as community events. Your office is wherever the event takes you!
Fantastic Perks: We offer mileage reimbursement for travel, meal allowance and accommodation for overnight stays, ensuring you’re always ready and rested.
Your Role:

Event Expert: Assist in organizing and managing a series of exciting summer events, ensuring each one is a hit.
Voice of the Brand: Represent Boating Ontario proudly, providing information, gathering contacts, and ensuring our presence is impactful.
Hype Coordinator: Bring your energy and Boating Ontario swag to connect with fellow boaters, water lovers and share your experiences to inspire others to get onboard.
Captain Research: Share feedback from the boating community with the team to help us improve and innovate.
Reporting Master: Analyze event performance, gather feedback and create polished post-event reports that highlight wins, lessons learned, and recommendations for next time.
Equipment Guru: Manage and maintain promotional materials and event equipment, ensuring everything is in top condition for each event.
Who We're Looking For:

Educational Background: High School Diploma is a must; if you’re studying post-secondary event planning, business, or similar, even better!
People Skills: Exceptional verbal communication and a history of excellent customer service.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with Microsoft Office and capable of handling various digital platforms.
Ready to Journey: Must have reliable transportation and love the idea of traveling to new places.
Adaptable and Proactive: You can juggle multiple tasks and adapt to new challenges with a smile.
