Title: Summer Technology Technician
Reports to: Director of Educational Technology
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Scituate Public Schools Technology Department is seeking a tech-minded and hands-on individual to assist with summer technology projects. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in IT, education technology, or computer systems to gain practical experience while supporting a school environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform maintenance and organization of Chromebook carts and devices
Assist with 1:1 Chromebook setup and deployment Complete projector cleaning and maintenance across classrooms Help refresh and configure desktop computers in lab settings Set up new devices and assist with minor troubleshooting
Support additional tech-related tasks as directed by the Technology Director
QUALIFICATIONS-REQUIRED:
Interest and/or experience in technology, IT, or related field
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working with devices such as Chromebooks, projectors, and Windows/Mac computers
Reliable transportation is required to travel between school buildings in the district
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
TERMS: Non-Union, Duration: June 23th - August 8th, Schedule: Monday–Friday, 20-25 hours a week, Compensation: $20 per hour
