Job description
About the role: As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to work with children who require additional support, helping them access education and develop key skills in a nurturing environment. You will be working with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing 1:1 or small group assistance, ensuring they feel confident and supported in their learning journey. You will be part of a wider team of teachers and staff dedicated to creating an inclusive, child-centered learning environment. There are opportunities for short-term or longer-term placements, allowing you the flexibility to choose what suits you best.

Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and ADHD.
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting children.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different classroom environments.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with teachers and other support staff.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver targeted interventions for SEN students.
• Provide 1:1 support for students with ASD and ADHD, helping them stay focused and engaged in lessons.
• Use a variety of strategies to support students’ learning and behavior management.
• Assist with personal care and emotional support, if needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
