We are excited to announce openings for multiple support officer roles in the Student Support and Specialist Programs (SSSP) directorate in our Teaching, Learning & Student Wellbeing division.
Location: Specific locations listed in ‘About the Role’. Flexible working arrangements available
Salary: Clerk Grade 1/2 with base salary ranging from $73,522 to $7+,+31 per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Ongoing and temporary full-time and part-time opportunities. Possibility for conversion to ongoing for temporary roles.

About the Student Support and Specialist Programs Directorate
The Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and specialist programs to support student engagement and opportunities including Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs.
The Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services team focuses on the delivery of student support services including support for students in the areas of mental health, wellbeing and complex needs.

The Assisted School Travel Program provides transportation services for students with additional needs from home to school and back to ensure all students are able to access education in NSW public schools.

Student opportunities across all areas are enhanced through partnerships with industry specialists and stakeholders.

About the roles
We are seeking to fill the following Clerk Grade 1/2 opportunities in the Arts, Sport and Initiatives and Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services units in the Student Support and Programs directorate in the Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing (TLSW) division:

Administrative Support Officer – Full time Ongoing Opportunity – Located at Parramatta NSW
Support the delivery of vital student support in child protection and mental health services. You’ll provide high-quality clerical and customer service support across a responsive, fast-paced team environment focused on student wellbeing.

Music Projects Assistant – Full time Temporary Opportunity – Located at Lewisham NSW
Join a creative and collaborative team delivering music performances and workshops across NSW. You’ll support the coordination of events, manage copyright processes, and provide onsite support during concerts, often outside of standard business hours.
Music Support Officer – Full time Ongoing Opportunity – Located at Lewisham NSW
Help bring combined schools music projects to life. You’ll provide essential clerical and event support, liaise with schools and suppliers, maintain school and student participation records, and assist during rehearsals and events often outside of standard business hours.
Visual Arts Support Assistant – 0.8FTE Part Time Temporary Opportunity – Located at Lewisham NSW
Support the delivery of state-wide visual arts programs including Operation Art and ARTEXPRESS. You’ll assist with the preparation, logistics, and exhibition of student artwork, while providing administrative and technical support. A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel are essential.

About you
What we’re looking for:
Strong organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Confidence using administrative systems and Microsoft Office Suite
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
