Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Division Manager, a Support Service Specialist provides a full range of support functions in line with company policies and business plans and in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
Process, sort, and distribute daily incoming mail and faxes to appropriate departments for
processing.
Process and log incoming daily patient care reports.
Process insurance claim forms to attach all appropriate documentation such as the patient care report and/or insurance explanation of benefits.
Process outgoing mail such as placing outgoing correspondence in appropriate envelopes along with mailing label and metering the mail.
Prepare correspondence to be scanned into the imaging system for processing or for record keeping.
Prepare and fax Hospital Face Sheets requests on a weekly basis to include contacting the
Hospital to obtain contact information for the Medical Records Department.
Stamp and audit payments received prior to deposits to ensure accuracy of payment and payee.
Prep and tally cash batches.
Pulling patient demographic information from hospital connections.
Cross training of front desk functions.
Undertake any other duties as required, which are commensurate with the position.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Required Education, Skills, & Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Good computer knowledge such as Excel, Word, Open Office, Outlook and PowerPoint.
A Fast thinker can work independently with problem solving skill.
General use of office equipment or programs i.e. fax, phone, outlook
Ability to communicate professionally, accurately, and effectively, both verbal and written, as well as on the telephone.
Organized individual who can manage multiple projects under pressure.

Detail oriented.
