About The Role
We are looking for people to join our Canberra team as Support Workers in the community, part time positions are currently available to work with the home care team.
Your main duties will include:
supporting people with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, assistance in the community and being a companion
Support people with personal care, assistance with mobility and prompting with medication
Support people to achieve their goals and make choices in partnership with other support networks.
Essential Criteria
Available Monday to Friday starting at 8.00am
A Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability or Individual Support
Current and valid Driver’s Licence and insured, reliable car
Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People card and First Aid certificate
Effective verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in use of technology such as smart phones, email and internet
Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
