Key Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, and anticipating needs.
Set up and ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies.
Maintain sterility and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and the successful completion of surgeries.
Assist in patient positioning and prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
Manage surgical instruments and ensure proper sterilization and care.
Monitor inventory and supplies in the operating room, ensuring adequate availability.
Ensure documentation of surgical procedures, patient data, and post-operative care in EMR systems.
Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification preferred.
Minimum insert experience requirement years of experience as a Surgical Tech in an operating room setting.
Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and medical equipment.
Proficient in EMR documentation.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
A commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
