About The Role:
This is a job with Capability Acquisition Sustainment Group (CASG)
The Systems and Software engineer will be coordinating and completing assigned Test and Evaluation tasks. You will be an integral part of the Engineering team and may be required to work with commercial resources to ensure alignment of Engineering and Technical artefacts with wider programmatic and commercial intent
Key Responsibilities:
Test and evaluation, certification and systems assurance
Preview Test and Evaluation (PT&E), Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Acceptance Test and Evaluation (AT&E), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) and In-Service Test & Evaluation (In-Service T&E).
Test and Evaluation (T&E) in the One Defence Capability System (ODCS).
T&E planning, management & reporting
Risk management and Verification and & Validation (V&V).
Undertaking system T&E or trial tasks and draft T&E Reports.
Drafting, reviewing and maintaining Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and T&E related artifacts and engaging with various stakeholders.
Understanding of Defence T&E framework, policies, processes and plans.
T&E technical and professional advice.
Familiarity with CASG T&E Systems Engineering policy
Ability to work under limited direction to perform and achieve complex systems engineering work.
About You:
Extensive experience and in-depth working knowledge of Defence related T&E frameworks, strategies, DTEM.
Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON)
Applicability and implementation of T&E at various stages of product lifecycle.
Understanding and knowledge of how Defence Engineering relates to T&E.
Supporting & authoring development of T&E strategies, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, and provide required advise to Systems Engineering Management Plan, Safety Management Plan, Configuration Management Plan)
Providing T&E specific professional advice to support the achievement of Land-worthiness land military equipment and systems, in accordance with the applicable governance frameworks;
