Role Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious and driven Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive, user-friendly Tableau dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights based on business requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience and skill, partnering with stakeholders to deliver a high level of insight.
In this role, you will be responsible for: Tableau Development & Visualization• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations based on business requirements.
Ensure dashboards are interactive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.
Apply best practices for data visualization and storytelling to provide actionable insights.
SQL Development & Data Management• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
Work with relational databases to ensure efficient data retrieval and integration.
Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to support reporting needs.
Business Intelligence & Analytics• Assist in data analysis and interpretation to support decision-making processes.
Identify data inconsistencies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with senior developers and data engineers to enhance data models and reporting structures.
Work closely with business teams to understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights.
Documentation & Process Improvement• Document data sources, dashboards, and SQL queries for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Assist in the development of Tableau best practices and standard operating procedures.
Provide support and training to end users on dashboard functionalities and data interpretation.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
3-5 years of experience working with Tableau in a professional setting
Proficiency in creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
Intermediate SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction and transformation
Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
This role involves periodic travel to the US for client-facing meetings. Candidates must be able to cross the border without restriction
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Looker, etc.) is a plus
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis
Familiarity with cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google BigQuery
Experience working in an Agile environment
