Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Tandoori Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Tandoori Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of tandoori dishes, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate should have a passion for Indian cuisine, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of tandoori dishes, including various meats, breads, and vegetables.

Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the tandoor section in the kitchen.

Marinate and season meats and vegetables with appropriate spices and herbs.

Monitor and maintain the temperature of the tandoor oven and adjust as needed.

Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and preparation surfaces.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new tandoori recipes and menu items.

Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff members.

Ensure that food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards.

Monitor inventory levels of tandoori ingredients and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or similar role in an Indian restaurant.

In-depth knowledge of tandoori cooking techniques, spices, and ingredients.

Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.

Creativity and passion for Indian cuisine.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Education and Certifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Formal culinary training or relevant certification is a plus.
