Our client based in the financial services sector are looking for a tax accountant with knowledge and experience in tax and compliance to join them on a permanent full-time basis. This opportunity offers exciting career progression along with a highly competitive salary.
Role and responsibilities:
• Collate required information for corporate tax, FBT, BAS computation.
• Prepare for lodgement recurring taxation filings - BAS, PAYG instalments etc.
• Support liaison with external tax consultants on tax computation preparation and tax return submission.
• Accounting of tax provisions, including deferred taxes, GST clearing and reconciliation of taxation specific balance sheet
accounts
• Taxation compliance management – maintenance of lodgement registers and proactive compliance monitoring
The ideal candidate:
2-3 years’ experience in corporate tax and Accounting, Reporting, Tax, GST etc. with exposure to multinational entities (as an advisor or in industry)
Highly developed computer and spreadsheet skills.
Advanced level of Excel required.
