Role:
Teacher with QTS Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 Type:
Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date:
January 2025 or sooner MLK Search is supporting a unique, high-achieving, 'Outstanding' group of Independent therapeutic Schools to recruit a positive, committed, and confident teacher for their team in Lambeth, London. Each school caters for children and young people with Adverse Childhood Experiences and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Teachers are at the core of leading the schools’ child-centered ethos and reflect the values and expectations of the school.
You will be responsible for the highest standards of quality of education and behaviour management for children who have significant SEMH as well as other associated needs.
Core Responsibilities:
• To motivate, engage and inspire children
• To facilitate a well sequenced curriculum and child-centred learning.
• To manage behaviour positively and in line with the schools’ ethos and procedures.
• To ensure learning and lessons are well sequenced and meet the needs of children.
• To lead on ensuring the learning environment is attractive, positive and uncluttered.
• To ensure assessment for learning/assessing progress is kept up to date, monitored and used effectively to support each child’s learning.
• To contribute to the schools’ breakfast, lunch, assembly, exercise & extra-curricular provision.
• To role-model the values the school stands for as well as outstanding professionalism. Essential and Desirable
Requirements:
• QTS and Induction completion or equivalent teacher training
• At least a good first degree in a core subject
• Successful experience in delivering the Primary or Secondary curriculum in a similar setting
• Further training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN
