Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Technical Accountant Consultant to support a complex lease accounting project
The role will focus on ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS across a global portfolio of leases, encompassing both domestic and international operations
Lead the technical accounting aspects of lease accounting under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Analyze and implement process changes within a variety of lease accounting systems and tools
Work closely with cross-functional teams including real estate professionals, non-accounting staff, and international stakeholders to streamline lease accounting processes
Assist in the enhancement of internal controls related to lease accounting, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards
Support the organization in understanding and managing the global lease population, providing insights into both U.S. GAAP and IFRS requirements
Manage large volumes of disparate processes and lease systems, offering strategic guidance on how to optimize them for efficiency and compliance
Provide assistance in implementing process changes and controls both inside and outside of accounting tools
