Full Time Fixed Term Position - August 2025

Band 4 - Salary Range $72,11+ to $76,460 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

Salary offered will depend on level of skills and experience.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a person to use their technical experience in the engineering field and to develop a broad skill set in a rapidly expanding Council environment.

You will be a member of the Engineering Services team and reporting to the Design & Investigations Coordinator. You will be assisting and supporting the day to day operational and administrative functions of the Design & Investigations team

Key Responsibilities

Processing and administering Councils Consent to work within the road reserve process.
Administer Council’s Public Lighting responsibilities including reporting public lighting faults, procuring non-standard street lighting components and organising new light installs for Council’s capital works program.
Processing and administering Councils Build over Easement process.
Schedule and conduct Variation to Crossover inspections to meet Council policies and procedures.

About you


To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Post-secondary qualifications with some relevant technical experience in an engineering environment.
Computer literacy in the use of Microsoft Office products and GIS software.
Understanding of the principles of engineering design, construction and maintenance techniques in relation to roads and drainage assets in a local government environment.
Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
