About the Role

The Technical Support Specialist’s main duty is to provide technical support and assistance to all internal staff as it relates to hardware and software servicing (inclusive of on-boarding/set-up, e-mail support, staff distribution lists, and device performance issues. The Technical Support Specialist will report into the Director, Engineering. The Technical Support Specialist will also be asked to help with admin requests from various departments. The work of a Technical Support Specialist will provide a huge benefit to the company as he/she modifies, cleans, installs and repairs computer systems and hardware. This position must communicate effectively and deliver high quality troubleshooting, quality control, and solutions in a timely manner. The resource will need to work in Eastern/Central/Pacific US Time Zone.

Primary Responsibilities:

A Technical Support Specialist’s role in a firm is crucial to its operation. They ensure that all technical aspects are functioning optimally. Technical hiccups can affect a company’s performance. Therefore, a Technical Support Specialist’s duties and responsibilities may revolve around maximizing computer system capabilities and making recommendations like the following:
• Handling internal staff technical support cases through Helpdesk submissions
• Assisting with any admin duties (example: CRM data cleaning) from various departments, as needed
• Evaluating system potential through assessing compatibility of new programs with existing programs
• Improving existing programs by evaluating objectives and specifications, reviewing proposed changes and making recommendations
• Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components
• Achieving computer stem objectives through collecting relevant data, identifying and evaluating options and suggesting a course of action
• Maintain company confidence by keeping information confidential and ensuring the highest level of security is maintained
• Preparing reference material for users by drafting operational instructions and standard operating procedures

Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
• 2+ years technical support experience
• Outstanding knowledge of software maintenance
• Software performance modification
• Process improvement
• Strong verbal and written skills required to interact with global teams
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, organization skills
• Strong interpersonal skill to develop quick rapport in a team setting and establish solid credibility with colleagues and cross functional teams
• Ability to working independently while effectively communicating to other associates.
• Embrace a fast-paced environment with quick turn arounds and rigid deadlines
