Job description
Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a Secondary School in Waltham Forest with their recruitment for a Temporary Food Technology Teacher this September. The position is to cover a member of staff between the months of September and November, however the school are open to looking into a longer term appointment if the move suits all parties.
The school was founded in the early 20th Century, however in recent years have experienced significant redevelopments in the previous 10 years and now boast state of the art facilities, and classrooms that inspire learning. This environment also benefits the children with Ofsted finding that students are happy learning at the school, and that SLT are always approachable. Tradewind's client school are undergoing further exciting developments to the school grounds, which represents their strong commitment to creating an environment to prepare students for the modern world.
You will be teaching 5 days per week in a well-resourced and staffed Food Technology department. The exam board you will be teaching is the Eduqas syllabus, which is taught in both Key Stages. With this position, the ability to also teach textiles is desirable but not essential. This school is located near a local Overground station.
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging and inspiring Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 - 4
• Textiles KS3 desirable not essential
• Parents Evening attendance
• Support with the planning and organising of school trips.
• Eduqas Syllabus
• Embrace the role of a form tutor, supporting students' personal growth and developments.

Requirements
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
• A strong drive and determination to progress students' artistic skills and overall learning.
