requires the following
TEMPORARY CONTINUING EDUCATION SECRETARY
SCHOOL: Petawawa Continuing Education - Adult High School
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 17.5 hours per week, 12 months per year
TERM: May 5, 2025 to November 3, 2026 (or the return of the incumbent)
RATE OF PAY: $27.72 to $28.55 per hour (Group 6)

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of Grade 12 education plus an additional post-secondary program of up to one (1) year or equivalent in a related discipline. The applicant must possess knowledge of, and a high degree of efficiency in, the operation software systems including student information systems, spreadsheets, word-processing and web based applications. A high degree of initiative and independent judgment is required. The candidate must have the ability to deal professionally and effectively with staff, parents, students and the general public. Minimum of 6 months up to 1 year experience required.
DUTIES:
A key member of the office team, the primary function of the Secretary – Adult High School is to ensure the effective daily operation of the office by providing administrative and secretarial support to staff, and by assisting students and the public.
Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the CUPE 1321 Collective Agreement and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. Members of the bargaining unit will be given first consideration. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
