We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Tool and Die Maker to join our team to support die service at our customer located in Chatham-Kent, Ontario.

Job Summary:

The Tool and Die Maker works entirely in Chatham-Kent, Ontario to support our customer's production facility ensuring their presses are running properly.

The duties and responsibilities of the Tool and Die Maker include:

Responding to all press calls requiring service
Avoid unnecessary downtime within the facility
Service dies in the toolroom (sharpening, shimming, cleaning, repairing)
Perform preventative maintenance of presses and dies
Safely move dies to and from the tool room using a tow motor/forklift/overhead crane
Accurately record servicing and work being done via ticket system during each shift
Adhere to all health and safety standards from customer and Armo-Tool
Wear all required PPE when on the production floor
Act as an ambassador of Armo-Tool and conduct oneself in an appropriate and professional manner at all times
Other duties as assigned
Education, Skills, and Job Requirements:

430A Tool and Die Maker license or equivalent experience
Experience with heat shield stamping dies a strong asset
Overhead crane and forklift experience with valid licenses
Experience running a vertical grinder, vertical mill, lathe, and with hand tools
