Trainee Sales Executive – Horticulture Sector

Location: Fullbrook Nursery – Cash & Carry (Lichfield)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours/week)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and personable Sales Executive to join our team at Fullbrook Nursery. This is a customer-facing role within a dynamic horticultural environment, ideal for someone who is passionate about plants, sustainability, and the natural world - and who is looking to build a career in sales.

You will play a key role in supporting our Cash & Carry operation and wider commercial sales team, helping to deliver excellent service to our clients while developing your knowledge of horticultural products and industry practices.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with the right attitude and passion to grow into a successful sales role within the horticulture sector.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with customers at our Cash & Carry, offering knowledgeable and friendly service
Assist with plant selection, product presentation, and site organisation
Support the sales team with quotations, pricing, and order processing
Attend client and site visits to understand project requirements and build relationships
Collaborate with internal teams including Despatch and Procurement
Contribute to trade events and customer engagement initiatives
Continuously develop product knowledge and stay informed on industry trends
Candidate Profile

Has a background in horticulture, landscaping, or a related field or a strong personal passion for plants and the environment
Is confident, approachable, and customer-focused
Is proactive, organised, and eager to contribute to a growing business
Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Has strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
Holds a full UK driving licence
