Training Administrator
Position Profile
Position Summary:
The Training Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS). This includes the creation and maintenance of training materials, tracking training compliance, and ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Accountabilities
Maintain and update user information in the Learning Management System (LMS), including user profiles, organizational hierarchies, class sessions, certifications, and course content.
Assisting the development and administration of departmental training plans and programs.
Collaborate with managers to ensure training is current, compliant, and effectively scheduled.
Maintain and process training-related documentation within the Quality Management System (Adept).
Support the scanning, labeling, and uploading of training records into the LMS.
Indirect Accountabilities
Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training plans across the organization.
Identify and support training-related improvement projects.
Provide support for internal audits related to training processes.
Support production activities through consistent application of Viking’s Training System and adherence to QMS policies and procedures.
Ensure personnel involved in production activities meet all training requirements through individual training programs.
Monitor, analyze, and report on training metrics to measure program effectiveness.
Participate in the resolution of training-related Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CAPAs).
Skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably with hands-on experience
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., Adept)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Analytical mindset with the ability to generate and interpret reports
Initiative and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
2–3 years of experience in a training administration or learning and development role
Experience working in regulated or manufacturing environments is an asset
Prior experience with document control systems and training compliance is considered an advantage
