Responsibilities
If so, Savage is seeking a Temporay Transload Helper who's primary responsibility is to safely and timely, assist the Loader in loading and unloading railcars with LPG products within our customer’s facility
Pay 22.00 per hour
Night shift 10-12 hours depending on work load
The Temporary Transload helper’s primary responsibility is to assist the Loader load and unload railcars with LPG products within our customer’s facility
Prepare the rail tank cars for loading; including a thorough inspection
Will follow written procedures to load and unload unit trains and manifest railcars of LPG products using fixed loading racks
General Maintenance ("bolt on –bolt off") as well as cleaning, housekeeping
Communicate with other train crew members and other invested parties, by radio, signals or by other means to aid in the movement and operation of trains
Handle problems as they arise and initiate steps to resolution
Commit to Safe work practices through situational awareness, following standard operating procedures, receiving constructive criticism and watching out for the health and wellness of others
Take an active role in the site’s safety program including participation in safety meetings, conducting facility inspections and participating in behavioral observations
Partner with the Operations team to ensure the facility operates smoothl
Can work independently with minimal supervision
Able to complete the physical aspects of the job including opening and closing railcars dome lids, climb railcars (heights), crawl under railcars, walk long distances on uneven terrain, etc

Education/Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in the oil field or other industrial environment preferred
• Some experience in a rail environment a plus
