Shift Schedule:
Monday – Friday
Start Time is 6:00 am (until the route has been completed)
Average 10-hour workdays
Position is based in the Calgary Distribution Center
No more than 2 layovers each week: Regina/Saskatoon/Edmonton
Job Purpose and Overview
As a Driver for Dawn Foods, you will be responsible for completion of daily route as assigned in a timely manner, with safety and production in focus. Obeying all rules and regulations of the road. Conducting daily face to face interaction with customers; representing Dawn Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner. Duties may include but not be limited to breaking down product, shelf stacking, offloading with electric pallet jacks, performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries.
This position is for our Toronto - Brampton Location. The driver will perform deliveries and pick ups along this route, as well as those in Quebec and surrounding areas.
What Does It Take to be a Truck Driver at Dawn Foods?
Below are the minimum qualifications to be a fit for this job.
High School Graduate or GED
Maintain a current Class 1 license with a minimum of 2 years experience and a clear driving record.
Team members must have the ability to move or lift product from 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to withstand cool and/or cold temperatures.
Must comply with IFS
Computer skills helpful
Additional Skills:
Possess the ability to read, write, and comprehend English language.
Have the ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions or given direction.

What will you do as a Truck Driver at Dawn Foods?
To complete daily routes as assigned in a safe and productive manner.
Rotate customer’s stock purchased from Dawn Food Products and provide courteous, professional service to all our customers.
Maintain proper paperwork according to D.O.T. guidelines and Dawn Food Products procedures.
Accurately delivery all product minimizing damage and invoice error ratio.
Maintain a high level of communication with the teams from customer service, sales and warehouse.
Additional responsibilities may include but not limited to delivery of product via carry in, two wheeler and power walker. The proper handling of cash and/or check payments from customers. Vendor pick up for product replenishment
