The Opportunity
Under the direction of the Manager, the Unit Aide works within a team to provide a safe, clean environment for all families being served by the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Primary role in ordering supplies for the service/unit.
Assist with unit quality initiatives within the roles and responsibilities of a Unit Aide.
Complete monthly Workplace Inspection Report (as required); initiate action for needed repairs or safety issues and report to appropriate person.
Provide indirect support for patient care (transportation of specimens, obtaining equipment and supplies).
Ensuring unit and family rooms are clean and tidy.
Maintaining supplies and equipment required for the unit.
Transporting defective equipment to Biomedical Engineering.
