RH is looking for a dedicated Upholstery Technician to become a part of our team at the Dmitriy & Co manufacturing site in Los Angeles, CA. This position calls for outstanding technical skills and a genuine love for the craft of upholstery. As an integral member of our team, you will help create gorgeous upholstery pieces that reflect RH's high standards of quality and design. Your Responsibilities
• Carefully review and comply with purchase orders while providing timely updates to ensure an efficient workflow.
• Implement upholstery techniques and production standards meticulously, ensuring each piece showcases our dedication to quality.
• Skillfully operate hand tools and equipment, such as staple guns, webbing stretchers, hammers, scissors, and select power tools, to craft and complete upholstery items with accuracy.
• Handle wood frames and materials safely, utilizing assistance as needed to uphold safety and craftsmanship integrity.
• Engage in hand-sewing, specialty projects, and additional tasks as required, promoting innovation and excellence within the upholstery team.
Our Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years of upholstery experience in a production, workshop, or design context.
• Expertise in upholstery techniques, including cutting, sewing, webbing, padding, and finishing.
• Excellent time management and communication skills, demonstrating a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and a keen eye for detail.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality are a must.
Physical Requirements
• Frequently lift and move furniture and accessories over 75 pounds while utilizing appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.
• Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, twist, stretch, reach, stoop, climb, squat, kneel, push, and pull regularly.
• Navigate effectively around workroom floors and loading docks.
• Grasp, move, and assemble materials and products by hand.
• Discern and assess variations in color, shade, and brightness.
