We are seeking a highly motivated UX Researcher to join our Digital Experience team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding user behavior and leveraging insights to create impactful design solutions. As a UX Researcher, you will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify research needs, conduct studies, and provide actionable recommendations that enhance the user experience across United Airlines digital products.
<>Key Responsibilities:
• Research Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define research objectives and determine the appropriate research methodologies (e.g., interviews, surveys, usability testing, ethnographic studies).
• Conduct Research: Execute qualitative and quantitative research studies to gather user insights, including usability testing, contextual inquiries, and user interviews.
• Data Analysis: Analyze research data and translate findings into actionable insights that drive design and product decisions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure research findings are incorporated into product strategies and design solutions.
• Present Findings: Create compelling presentations and reports to effectively communicate research insights to stakeholders at all levels.
• Advocate for the User: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring user needs are at the forefront of the design and development process.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX research, and apply these insights to improve research processes and methodologies.
<>Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field. Master s degree preferred.
• Experience:
• 3+ but max 5 years of experience in UX research, preferably within the airline, travel, or e-commerce industry.
• Proven track record of conducting user research that has influenced product and design decisions.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
• Proficiency in research tools such as UserTesting, Optimal Workshop, and others.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with designing and conducting remote usability studies.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
