Job description
Job Role:PSV Technician / Bus Mechanic / HGV Engineer / HGV Technician

Salary: 52,416.00+

OTE: 55,000 - 65,000

Overtime Available

Location: Stanwell

About Your New Engineering Role

You will either have experience working on PSV vehicles and/or HGV Vehicles. Not essential but ideally you will have a PSV driving license as well as experience working on a variety of commercial vehicles. To be considered It is desirable to have the following:
• City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence
• PSV Technician and workshop experience

MB578: Vehicle Mechanic/ExaminerLocation: Fife, ScotlandSalary: £30,371paWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week with overtime availableAdditional Company Benefits: PPE Supplied, Exceptional Career Development Opportunities, Heavily Discounted Gym Membership, Enhanced Pension ContributionsOverview:First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit multiple Vehicle Mechanics and/or Examiners on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Fife depot.The Vehicle Mechanic isn't an ordinary Mechanic position. This position will provide an opportunity to work on some fantastic military vehicles and enhance your mechanical knowledge on the wider spectrum in addition to offering exceptional career advancement opportunities.Duties and Responsibilities:
• Service, maintain and repair vehicles components and accessories in line with company, client and/or manufacturer’s instructions.
• Removal and refitting in a safe, proper and economical manner using equipment provided.
• Diagnose faults and test vehicles utilising equipment available and using recognised test procedures and techniques.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to the required standard.
• Remain up to date with the latest vehicle technology and changes by attending Company training programmes.

Skills And Qualifications
• Fully qualified Mechanic, through a recognised formal training programme. (NVQ Level 3 at a minimum).
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to actively seek solutions to problems.
