About the Role:
Curtin Stadium is looking for a proactive and detail-driven Venue & Event Operations Coordinator to plan, manage, and execute a diverse range of events and functions—both internal and external—that support our engagement and recreation initiatives.
In this role, you will be at the heart of Curtin Stadium’s events and engagement strategy—coordinating logistics, building relationships, managing teams, and ensuring every event runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll play a key role in connecting Curtin’s facilities and services to our students, staff, and the wider community.
Your responsibilities will include:
Plan and implement all logistical requirements for internal Curtin Stadium events and functions that align with our strategic initiatives.
Oversee external events by coordinating service delivery and managing the approvals process in line with Curtin University’s policies and guidelines.
Lead on-the-ground operations, coordinating staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless delivery of events on time and to standard.
Develop event schedules in collaboration with the Stadium management team, other departments, and stakeholders to maximise resource utilisation across Sports and Recreation.
Engage the Curtin community by working closely with the Manager, Engagement to develop and deliver inclusive events and activations that connect students, staff, and the wider community.
Facilitate smooth operations of all event responsibilities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with internal procedures.
Who we are looking for:
Proven experience in venue and/or event operations, with strong logistical and planning skills.
Confident in leading teams and coordinating multiple moving parts under pressure.
Strong stakeholder communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with internal and external partners.
Excellent understanding of event compliance, risk management, and procedural frameworks.
Passion for delivering engaging, community-focused experiences.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as required

Role Requirements:
As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check
