Vet Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team at Greencross Vets Carrara.

About Your New Role
As a Full-time Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for undertaking general nursing tasks, including:

Pre and post-operative care for animals
Animal pathology and emergency critical care
Performing minor procedures when required
You will also be responsible for:

Caring, handling, and cleaning all animals
Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
In addition, you will provide reception duties, including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting, and discharging patients.

What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in veterinary nursing
Good knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
The ability to work well autonomously and within a team environment
Experience with Rx works (preferably)

Greencross Vets Carrara is a fully equipped clinic with state-of-the-art facilities, including:

Ultrasound and digital x-ray
Two fully equipped theatres
Dental x-ray, IM3 dental, and orthopaedic equipment
Bair Hugger, Vet Tome, and CT scanner
Our facilities include four consult rooms, a separate imaging room, and a cat ward. We also have a staff room, upstairs office space, and training area.
