The Opportunity
AgeCare is seeking a visionary and accomplished executive to join our Senior Leadership Team as Vice President, Long-Term Care (LTC) Operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer , this pivotal role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for our Ontario LTC portfolio, including redeveloped homes and third-party managed sites.
In close collaboration with a fellow VP of LTC Operations, you will drive results across key domains: financial performance, resident and family experience, team engagement, and risk management. You will also work cross-functionally with colleagues in Resident Care & Services, Human Resources, and Real Estate Development to ensure our communities remain safe, vibrant, and high-performing.
What you will do
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Lead the development and execution of annual business plans for Ontario LTC operations.
Ensure operational excellence across financial, quality, and compliance benchmarks.
Contribute to strategies involving acquisitions, divestitures, and home redevelopment.
Actively participate as a senior executive shaping AgeCare’s long-term vision for care delivery.
Resident & Family Experience
Champion a resident- and family-centred approach to care.
Drive satisfaction initiatives and lead responses to concerns and feedback.
Collaborate with the SVP, Customer Experience, on surveys and targeted improvement plans.
Employee Engagement & Talent Development
Foster a culture of trust, accountability, and high performance.
Support leadership recruitment, succession planning, and professional development.
Partner with HR on labour relations, performance management, and WSIB compliance.
Financial Performance
Develop and oversee annual budgets for LTC and adjacent retirement communities.
Achieve occupancy, revenue, and compliance goals aligned with funding envelopes.
Monitor performance and lead strategic course-correction when needed.
Asset & Risk Management
Provide operational insight into capital planning and redevelopment efforts.
Participate in due diligence for acquisitions and new developments.
Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and internal safety standards.
Sales, Marketing & Brand Alignment
Oversee marketing initiatives for adjacent retirement communities.
Ensure alignment with AgeCare’s brand, values, and service culture.
What You Bring
15+ years in progressively senior leadership roles within long-term care or healthcare operations.
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field preferred; a relevant Bachelor’s degree is required.
Deep understanding of government-funded and regulated health sectors.
Proven track record of achieving financial, operational, and quality outcomes.
Strong leadership experience in unionized, multidisciplinary environments.
Strategic thinker with excellent business acumen and operational insight.
Passionate about senior care and committed to service excellence.
