Job Description

The Volunteer And Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services. They will oversee volunteer-related policies, compliance, and engagement to enhance volunteer satisfaction and contribution, aligning with the organisation's vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for volunteers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Volunteer Coordination and Communication: Coordinate and communicate with volunteers to ensure they are informed and engaged in the organisation's activities.
Program Development, Coordination & Reporting: Develop and coordinate programs and services to meet the needs of participants, and report on program outcomes and achievements.
Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to volunteer management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
Volunteer Recognition and Industry Engagement: Recognise and reward volunteers for their contributions, and engage with the broader community to promote the organisation's work and values.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven ability to recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers effectively.
High level of organisational skills, including rostering and record-keeping.
Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in volunteer management.
Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
Proficiency in using digital tools for communication and record management.
