What are we looking for?
Key Requirements Experience of using social media and other digital channels for event promotion Excellent organisational and project management skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people Previous experience ( 3+ years) in event planning, coordination or related role Desirable (still apply if you don’t meet this) Bachelor’s degree in Event Management or related field.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who is a clear and concise communicator and can build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and diverse audiences. This position will report to the Events Manager. Key Responsibilities Support the Events Manager with planning, coordination and execution of a range of fundraising and awareness events. Collaborate with the Events Manager to develop event concepts, themes and objectives. Help secure venues, vendors and other event partners and manage relationships with external suppliers and agencies and negotiate costs Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing event materials and managing event related correspondence. Maintain event databases including attendee lists, sponsor contacts and vendor details. Attend events and assist on site with preparation, execution and close of event. Support with volunteer coordination during the events. Manage and coordinate the logistics related to events such as registration, delivery and set up of event materials and equipment and online support with events held online. Support the Events Manager with the promotion of events through social media, email campaigns and other marketing channels. Assist in the creation of promotional materials and engage with attendees throughout the events. Support the Events Manager in evaluating the success rate of events by collecting and analysing the feedback from attendees, volunteers and stakeholders and preparing reports and making recommendations for future events.
