Job Title: Steward
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reporting To: F&B Supervisor / Restaurant Manager
Position Overview:
The Steward plays a key role in ensuring smooth restaurant and guest dining operations.
Responsible for maintaining hygiene standards, assisting in food and beverage service, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:Greet guests courteously and assist them in seating.
Present menu, take orders accurately, and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.
Ensure tables are set up neatly and maintained throughout service.
Attend to guest requests and complaints courteously and promptly.
Maintain product knowledge to answer questions related to menu items and specials.
Operations:Prepare the restaurant or outlet before service (mise-en-place).
Clear tables, reset them quickly, and maintain cleanliness throughout the shift.
Assist in room service or banquet setups if required.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for timely and accurate order delivery.
Follow all standard operating procedures and service protocols.
Hygiene & Safety:Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of service areas, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
Follow all FSSAI and brand hygiene standards.
Handle all equipment carefully and report maintenance issues immediately.
Maintain grooming standards as per Moustache’s policy.
Skills & Requirements:Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th Pass or Diploma in Hotel Management.
Prior experience (6 months – 6 years) in F&B service preferred, ideally in a hotel or restaurant setup.
Good communication skills and guest-oriented attitude.
Basic knowledge of food & beverage service.
Team player with a positive and energetic approach.
Willingness to work in flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:Fast-paced hospitality environment within Moustache’s hostels, select hotels, or Luxuria properties.
Requires standing for long hours and interacting with guests continuously.
