Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the highest quality of work. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles, utilizing both hand and power tools effectively.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently in all repair tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repairs needed, and maintenance recommendations.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems before they escalate.
Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and improve service delivery.

Qualifications

Proven experience in automotive repair, preferably within a dealership setting.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems and schematics.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair tasks.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or vehicle maintenance.
A valid driver's license is preferred, along with any relevant certifications or training in automotive technology.

Pay: $23.62-$35.00 per hour

automotive technician: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Driver's License (preferred)
Mechanic License (required)
