Location: Kegworth
Salary: £42,7+0
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-17:00
As a Shift Manager you will be part of a central platform which provide real-time visibility, control and management of operations across the East Midlands distribution centre. You will have an analytical mind and enjoy developing and supporting our team who work with our data from various sources, including our warehouse SAP and WMS systems which enable proactive decision making to enhance operational efficiency.
Daily Duties:
• · Manage, motivate and develop our control tower team through 1:1, PDP’s and various people management techniques, leading and managing to achieve and exceed SLAs.
• · Advise and support the SAP key users and coordinators with systems and issues and be the first point of contact for all process and technical faults and forwarding of reports to the involved departments.
• · Ensure health, safety, and welfare in line with legislation.
• · Distributing work orders and ensuring the workload of the employees
• · Steering, coordinating, and implementing processes as well as planning the daily business activities.
• · Identifying issues or problems and initiating corrective measures and success control.
• · Collaborate with the Workforce planner to ensure resource planning and processes are delivered in line with budgets, forecasts, and clients' requirements.
• · Participating in resource planning (staff and infrastructure)
• · Creating and evaluating reports.
• · Ensuring the quality and service level specifications.
• · Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational processes, warehouse layout, and systematic improvements by empowering and engaging the teams to deliver excellence.
• · Develop your team to ensure they have the right skills, competencies, and behaviors to achieve their career potential and business results.
Your Profile:
• · Previous experience in warehouse senior management role
• · Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) Microsoft Office and SAP.
• · Familiarity in warehouse inventory control techniques and the ability to analyse operational data and make informed decisions.
• · Strong leadership and team building abilities with the ability to make efficiency enhancing initiatives.
• · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
