Responsibilities
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and direction of all shipping, receiving and material handling employees, maintenance of inventory accuracy, and resolution of issues with receipt, storage and shipment of finished goods
This will include the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain inventory accuracy, and reduce overall costs
This role will drive materials management best practices to achieve the sales schedule, meet customer requirements, optimize the utilization of the workforce, and minimize logistic costs
Additional responsibilities will include oversight of finished goods inventory control by managing cycle counts, physical inventory processes, and internal materials replenishment strategies to meet inventory DOH and excess & obsolete management targets
Role will also take an active position in supporting other activities such as continuous improvement projects focusing on productivity and inventory reduction

Maintain accurate records including overtime, attendance, and corrective action registers
Maintain and update material handling processes, standard work, and work instructions
Supervise personnel that coordinates the logistics as required by scheduling trucks based on product specifications and location requirements
Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals
Assist the management team in determining personnel requirements, provide necessary training resources for new employees, and facilitate the job bidding process
Establish clear expectations and goals to employees and maintain accountability for results including required training
Monitor and provide employee coaching with respect to safety, quality, and productivity performance (attendance, training, coaching, overtime, vacation requests etc.)
Participate and lead daily tier meetings with a cross-functional team focused on departmental performance and issue resolution
Lead weekly departmental meetings to communicate safety topics, department or plant-wide activities, business updates and policy/procedural changes as needed
Run daily reports for shipments and track on time to ship, identify gaps and develop corrective actions
Assist and coordinate activities to ensure vital plant metrics, including but not limited to; customer on-time delivery, backlog, days on hand inventory, and past due orders/schedules
Train and educate the materials management team on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related tools

Eaton’s IS VEH Power Connections division is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor. This position is based at our Carol Stream, IL facility.

Qualifications

Required Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum five (5) years experience in inventory management in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment
• Minimum two (2) years experience as a manager of people
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
• No relocation is being offered for this position. All candidates must reside within 50 miles of Carol Stream IL to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications
• APICS (CPIM) Certification
• Experience in automotive, warehouse and/or OEM industries
• Prior experience with ERP systems
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Business from an accredited institution
• Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
