More About What You’ll Do

The Team Leader will lead, direct and coordinate all functions with an assigned area of the distribution centre to ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of both areas of warehousing & logistics.

The Team Leader will also ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock and plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as perishable, DGS and sub warehouse.

You roles and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of all store persons in your team.
Planning, coordinating and monitoring the receipt of goods Inbound, Put-away, and Replenishment
Lead active inventory management to achieve and maintain stock accuracy
Maintains receiving, warehousing and distribution by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
Manage maintenance of equipment, plant and machinery
Supporting the DC Leader with labour planning including, Recruitment, Induction, Training
Daily huddles with inbound and inventory teams
Enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely

More About You

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to manage and motivate a team of storepeople in a busy warehouse environment that deals with fast moving products at high volume. You will ideally display the following attributes:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role in a fast-moving warehouse environment
Hands-on leadership experience
Exceptional organisational skills and time management skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure
Current forklift licence is essential
