Warehouse Training & Compliance Coordinator

Menzies Distribution has an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Training & Compliance Coordinator to join our team based in Normanton. The role coordinate and deliver professional effective MHE training, ensuring that all training is aligned to the business goals and drives improved H&S for all employees and will take responsibility for improving MHE operator behaviour and ensuring that new starters are inducted and trained correctly. Proactively identify opportunities to maintain and improve quality and MHE standards and ensure that all MHE processes, procedures and compliances are adhered to and ensure all employees receive refresher training as per company guidelines.

• Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday
• Hours: 14:00pm - 22:00pm - Hours may differ due to trianing requirements
• Salary: £2+,287.44
• Location: Unit H, Tuscany Way, Wakefield Europort, Normanton, WF6 2UA
• ** To apply, you must hold a RTITB trainer license. A qualified FLT trainer and not just a driver. **

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You will act as the main point of contact for all MHE related issues and ensure that the depot complies with statuary and company policy with regards to MHE, safety and the environment. Key to this role is liaising with the internal fleet audit team and supporting operations to reduce areas of non-compliance. Ensuring that MHE compliance for site is achieved and maintained. Also liaising with external bodies such as independent insurers to ensure all inspections are completed on time along with any remedial actions. This role will ensure that all legislative and regulatory requirements are upheld and the highest standards of H&S are maintained at all times. Act as the main point of contact for all H&S (MHE) related issues. Key to this role is liaising with the SHEQ team and supporting Operations to reduce areas of noncompliance. Ensuring that BRCGS Accreditation for the depot is achieved and maintained.
• Deliver training and development (upskilling) when required
• Work to raise the awareness of H&S throughout the depot.
• Provide a source of specialised knowledge and expertise in the field of MHE Training and H&S related issues
• Provide ongoing H&S/MHE support and training for personnel at site
• Ensure the depot has an MHE training matrix, planning and organising MHE training and awareness programs as required.
• Lead & Support site MHE audits & inspections
• Ensure all new staff are properly assessed before becoming operational
• Produce clear and effective training plans in line with business requirements, formulating and delivering workshops to address business needs.
• Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external governing/auditing bodies.
• Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company H&S policies and procedures in relation to MHE
• Monitor agreed performance levels of all MHE operators on site
• Promote an effective working environment building strong relationships with the warehouse/transport and admin teams
• Ensure all MHE defects are logged, and Menzies defect procedure followed to completion
• Work alongside the site H&S Coordinator to ensure all aspects of facility management / site Hygiene & Maintenance is quoted and where required repaired.

WHAT YOU NEED:
• Valid RTITB FLT Trainer Qualification is essential
• Able to deliver knowledge of MHE operation and instructuon to all users
• Demonstrate people development skills and the ability to train, coach and develop people in a professional manner
• Deliver training through one to one and group training presentations
• Teach new skills / qualifications
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Good computer literacy
• Accident/Incident investigation training
• Fire Marshall training
• Racking Inspector & Racking Repair trained.
