We are seeking a passionate and experienced Waste Minimisation Officer to develop, implement, and monitor waste reduction initiatives across the Whanganui District. This role plays a key part in supporting Council's commitment to environmental sustainability and achieving waste reduction targets outlined in our Waste Management and Minimisation Plan.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have:

A background in behaviour change, ideally with experience in waste minimisation.
Strategic planning and experience in developing and delivering waste plan activities.
Previous experience in local government is advantageous.
Experience in working with community groups and stakeholders.
In addition to the above, you must be an exceptional communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills to develop and maintain successful relationships.
