About The Role
As a Whanau Ora Kaiarahi (Navigator) at Te Manu Toroa, you will uphold the Tūāpapa System of Care by providing whānau- and community-centred care that is holistic, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate.
You will cultivate and maintain excellent working relationships with clients. This is the Tūāpapa System of Care’s foundation! This partnership is what allows you and your clients to work together towards achieving their health goals and aspirations. Aside from upholding the integrity of the professional practice, you will also be committed to the principles of health equity.
Conducting initial assessments and evaluations of clients to determine their specific needs and develop personalised plans.
Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a non-judgemental approach towards those seeking help. To Be Successful, You:
Level 4-6 Mental Health Certificate and/or Diploma in Social Work, or other undergraduate health qualification(s) OR Committed to undertaking academic studies of an equivalent nature
Clean driver’s licence
Clean criminal record
Experience in mental health, health and/or social services
Competent to engage and relate positively to hard to reach whānau
Professional credibility and community networking skills business
