Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Windows 11 Refresh Technician to assist with the organization-wide upgrade and deployment of Windows 11. This role involves imaging devices, migrating user data, ensuring application compatibility, and supporting users before, during, and after the refresh process.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, image, and deploy Windows 11 workstations across multiple departments

Back up and restore user data and settings as part of the refresh process

Install and configure applications and ensure compatibility with Windows 11

Perform hardware checks and upgrades as needed to meet Windows 11 requirements

Support end users during and after the migration, addressing any post-deployment issues

Maintain accurate records of asset tags, serial numbers, and deployment details

Troubleshoot deployment issues, driver conflicts, or application errors

Follow standardized procedures and checklists for refresh tasks

Coordinate with other IT team members to minimize disruption during the rollout

Provide clear communication and basic training to users on Windows 11 changes

Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience with a large-scale OS refresh project

CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certification (e.g., MD-100, MD-101)

Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy

Understanding of ITIL practices or ticketing systems

Experience in desktop support or deployment roles, ideally in enterprise environments

Solid understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems

Familiarity with imaging and deployment tools such as SCCM, MDT, or Autopilot

Experience with user data backup/migration tools (e.g., USMT, OneDrive)

Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware, driver, and software issues

Strong organizational and documentation skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills
