We are proud to be partnering with this well-known not-for-profit organisation who do incredible purpose-led work to find their new Work Health and Safety Manager. This role is permanent full-time and based primarily at the Melbourne CBD head office. For the right candidate, the organisation would consider someone 4 days per week (0.8).

Your New Role

You will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive risk-based Wellbeing, Health, and Safety framework. This role involves providing expert guidance to managers on their specific WHS responsibilities, enhancing workplace health and safety systems, and fostering a culture of proactive risk management and safety. You will also oversee injury management and workers’ compensation processes to ensure an effective, responsive, and supportive approach to workplace safety and wellbeing.

What Are They Looking For?

Relevant experience in a WHS management/specialist role, with proven experience in developing and implementing WHS frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Tertiary qualifications in Occupational/Work Health and Safety, Risk Management, or a related field.
Experience in a not for profit or community services organisation would be highly desirable.
In-depth understanding of current work health and safety legislation, standards, and best practices across various states and territories.
Demonstrated experience in managing Workers Compensation and Injury Management programs with an excellent track record in achieving sustainable return to work programs.
Open to an experienced WHS Specialist who is ready to step up into their first Manager position.
