Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented YouTube Video Editor to bring our ideas to life through high-impact videos. If you're inspired by content from TED-Ed, Avey TV, Think School, or Vox Media, you’ll fit right in. You’ll work closely with our production and creative teams to shape raw footage into visually compelling, story-driven pieces that engage and inform.

Key Responsibilities
• Edit and assemble video content into polished final cuts tailored for YouTube.
• Apply visual storytelling techniques that reflect the tone and depth of platforms like TED-Ed or Vox.
• Use motion graphics, infographics, and dynamic typography to clarify complex ideas.
• Edit both short-form and long-form videos with a strong sense of pacing and rhythm.
• Add music, sound effects, voiceovers, and transitions to enhance viewer experience.
• Collaborate with writers, voice artists, and animators to create cohesive content.
• Optimize videos for YouTube SEO, retention, and engagement metrics.
• Stay up-to-date with YouTube algorithm changes, editing trends, and audience behaviors.

What We're Looking For
• Proven experience editing for YouTube—portfolio or channel links are a must.
• Proficiency with editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Experience with motion graphics software After Effects, Canva, or similar.
• A strong sense of visual storytelling and an eye for clean, purposeful design.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, digestible, and engaging visuals.
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Deep understanding of and appreciation for content styles like those on TED-Ed, Think School, and Vox.
