About the facility
Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelong’s CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.

About the role
This position requires previous experience in obstetrics and gynaecology for at least 12 months and at least at the level of senior RMO. Domestic and international candidates will be considered. Highly desirable would be baseline comfort with operative obstetrics.

The job has an obstetric bias including ANC, high risk pregnancy, specialty obstetric clinics, basic obstetric scanning, and birth suite experience with an emphasis on decision making and procedural obstetrics. Emergency and office gynaecology exposure will be provided with limited opportunity for elective gynaecological surgery. There will be an expectation to participate on nights and weekend shifts. There is an expectation to be involved in education, running of unit meetings, audit, and quality/safety reviews.

The job has enough clinical exposure to allow the opportunity to complete a RANZCOG Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural – APTP) if desired.
