Job Description:
MarketMen is currently looking for a skilled and reliable Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing our company's financial operations, including accounts, GST filings, and all other accounting functions. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns and other tax compliances
• Monitor and analyze financial performance to provide insights and recommendations for improvement
• Develop and implement effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Keep up-to-date with the latest accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry trends
• Perform any other accounting-related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred)
• At least 4-5 years of proven experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and GST compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software Zoho, Tally and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
