Accountant

dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial documents. The role includes performing a variety of accounting activities such as reconciliations, payroll processing, tax filings, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial documents.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Reconciliations:
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
Assist in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
Audit Preparation:
Prepare documents and reports for internal and external audits.
Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary information.
Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
Internal Controls:
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Software and Systems:
Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) for financial management.
Maintain and update financial systems as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Assist in special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
