Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent in accounting
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Team Player
Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
One to three years of relevant work experience in manufacturing

Responsibilities
The successful candidate supports the Accounting Manager by performing routine cost and staff accounting duties in accordance with established procedures and methods
Maintains various accounting related records, verifies data received, prepares necessary reports and records accounting related transactions
Assists in the month-end close process by posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and compiling reports
Must possess strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving, research abilities and solid communication abilities
Monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Assists in month-end and year-end close, while maintaining timely and accurate reporting
Assists with monthly financial statements
Assists with the Estimate-to-Complete reconciliation
Monitors capital expenditure projects and fixed assets and reconciles to general ledger
Completes ad hoc reporting and performs special projects upon request
Contributes to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Assists with the annual financial audit
Assists with year-end tax filings
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the ERP transition project related to Accounting Functions
Back up to Accounting Manager, as well as Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Accounts Payable functions
Special Projects as assigned
