Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial management principles.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Utilise accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and PeopleSoft for efficient financial management.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning.
Provide mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements

Proven experience in financial services and financial accounting roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is an advantage.
