Accounting Graduate / Trainee Accountant

Glen Drummond are looking for a recent graduate with a first class or 2:1 honours degree in accounting to join our 100% employee owned accountancy practice in Livingston. This is a training role with the successful candidate gaining a full time, permanent position to study towards a professional accountancy qualification (ICAS or ACCA).

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and self development and will be a confident communicator so they can work with the team and contribute to our practice. Good time management, problem solving skills and the ability to make good judgements is essential. In return Glen Drummond will support you in your studies with continuous in office mentoring and support, study leave as well as covering the cost of the training.

Glen Drummond are a friendly, employee owned, accounting firm based in Livingston. We provide accountancy, tax, vat and payroll services to a range of clients covering many industry sectors. We are an ambitious and growing practice with a strong focus on continuous improvement to benefit staff and clients. Responsibilities would include:

Preparing annual accounts and corporation tax returns
Preparing personal tax returns
Preparing vat returns
Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
