Accounts Payable Officer | Maternity Leave contract

We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our finance team in a Accounts Payable Officer position to support a maternity leave for approx 7 months at our Ingleburn site.
Start date : Beginning of October 2024 to support training into role.
Key Accountabilities include:
Matching, batching and coding a high volume of invoices
Preparation, allocation of costs to correct G/L accounts, and payment of weekly bills
Scanning and filing
Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliations
Contribute accounts payable information to other departments upon request
Speaking to suppliers on a daily basis
Coordinate the accounts payable system, including vendor details, record of payments and filing systems
Do you have what it takes?
Minimum one (1) years’ workplace experience in accounts payable function in an environment with high volume and a wide variety of financial transactions, including matching of invoices against purchases orders (with consideration for GRNI)E
Experience in manufacturing business is highly desirable
Intermediate excel skills and experience with operating accounting systems,
Experience in the AP month-end and year-end processes
Demonstrated ability to work independently, recognise issues and use initiative to identify and discuss proposed solutions
Strong customer-focus with the ability to develop relationships within the team and related cross-functional teams
